Luxe streetwear set to wow

9 December 2009

Two new streetwear brands catering to discerning guys and girls look set to offer the highly saturated sector a fresh, deluxe take on streetwear that owes much to the artistic and design talent of their founder.

High design T-shirts form the basis of sibling brands Acadeo (men's) and Ultra Invidia (women's) - new Australian streetwear labels looking to take on the luxury streetwear scene and created by ex graphic designer Jake Anderson.

A spokesperson for the labels described them as "edgy and unique, whilst remaining tasteful and wearable."

"Our labels are artistic, affluent, rock inspired and original. The quality of our products is essential to the labels' success, which is why [parent business] Acadeo has spent extensive time researching the best quality printers and garment manufacturers to ensure premium quality."

Jake Anderson's background comprises eight years as a graphic designer, during which he worked for some of the biggest advertising agencies in the world, including Ogilvy & Mather, Wunderman and Lavender. Anderson's long harboured love for art and design led him to utilise his graphic skills to produce high-end streetwear.

He believes his unique selling point amid the highly competitive streetwear market, lies in original, artistic and edgy designs that are cutting-edge while wearable.

Acadeo and Ultra Invidia will launch in February 2010, and will be on show at FASHION EXPOSED from 14-16 of that month at the Sydney Exhibition Centre.
