The Australian agent for high end Italian menswear label Pisko 18 is preparing to break into the Sydney market, having confirmed its participation at FASHION EXPOSED next February, following a successful launch at Melbourne FASHION EXPOSED earlier this year.
Victoria based agent Jenni Wilkinson said she anticipated the high end brand, which specialises in men's tops including a wide array of sweaters and shirting, would be well received at the Sydney trade fair from 14-16 February 2010.
"Pisko 18 is designed and manufactured in Italy by SRL, based south of Venice in the Provence of Vicenza. It's high end men's clothing and there's very little in the Australian market like it. We had a great show in Melbourne, raising the brand's profile and networking with key industry contacts, and we're hoping to do the same in Sydney."
Comprising around 70 pieces, the range offered "the typical European elegance and styling we have come to expect from Italian designers," she said, adding the collection's key point of difference was the use of high quality fabrications, detailing and trims.
"All items are quality controlled before release for sale to maintain their excellent reputation in the menswear world."
With the label wholly designed and manufactured by its parent company in Italy, Wilkinson was able respond to specific customer requests, she added. "For example a client in Melbourne cannot sell this standard of clothing with obvious branding and logos, so we were able to remove them."
"Pisko 18 sits in the market place alongside labels such as Pal Zileri, Hugo Boss or Paul and Shark. It suits males from 20 years old to a snappy ‘whatever-age-you-wish' and has a sophisticated, relaxed look worn by the likes of Brad Pitt, Hugh Jackman and Orlando Bloom in their free time. Two of the models for the summer collection are Italian Golf professional Giorgio De Filippi and Italian National Beach soccer star Massimiliano Esposito."
