Womenswear label Threadz promises to bring fresh inspiration to the market for real women's fashion when it takes a stand at Fashion Exposed.
Releasing 60 new styles a month, Threadz' mother and daughter team Deborah and Danielle Sterry have targeted the brand at busy women with the independence to create their own style.
The Threadz label and sibling brand Clarity are designed for women of all sizes, with the former's target market comprising women aged 25-plus in sizes S-XXL (10-16) while the latter's comprises the same age demographic with a fuller figure size range from 10-18.
With 25 years in the fashion industry, Threadz co-founder and head designer Deborah Sterry said Threadz and Clarity were specifically created to cater to the boutique fashion market.
"It's very much a ‘buy now wear now' approach and the retail price points offer value for money, which can either be the opening price point or a high-end offer in store, depending on the retailer's business structure. Both brands retail from $49 to $89.95."
This strategy made good business sense in the current climate, she said.
"The market is reacting to tough economic world conditions and the intense mark down trading of the department stores," Sterry confirmed. "In response, Threadz and Clarity are offering our boutique customers new, exciting products every two weeks. The boutiques can control their inventory and cash flow, give their stores new stock when they need it and customers new fashion when they want it. Threadz and Clarity also allow retailers to be able to pick up stock in season from our brands, rather than having to forward forecast and indent three to six months before delivery."
Threadz and Clarity will showcase their latest ranges at Fashion Exposed from 29-31 August at Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
